The glossy evergreen foliage of this magnificent climber is the perfect backdrop for its glamorous looking blooms. Snow white petals are crowned with an explosion of purple stamens at their centre for a really exotic look. The prominent egg shaped, orange fruits that follow are edible, although rather unpleasant to taste. An easily trained, vigorous climber that will quickly cover sunny walls and pergolas. Transplant Passion flower plants into any moist, well drained soil. Choose a sunny position that is protected from cold winds in winter. Prior to planting, add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil. When growing Passion flower, be sure to provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to fences and pergolas.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. In autumn, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Pruning Passion flowers is best undertaken in spring. Prune out the oldest stems, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space.
